Ticket Types & Prices
Wieliczka Salt Mine isn’t complicated to book, but it has more ticket categories than most visitors expect. The right ticket depends on which route you’re taking, how many of you there are, whether you qualify for a discount, and whether you want transport from Kraków included. This guide breaks it all down clearly so you book exactly what you need and nothing more.
Tourist Route Ticket Prices
Wieliczka Salt Mine offers two main routes — the Tourist Route and the Miners’ Route — priced at the same rate. As of 2025, a standard adult ticket for a foreign-language tour costs approximately 156 PLN. Reduced tickets (~112 PLN) are available for children aged 4–16, students to age 26, seniors, and visitors with disabilities. Children under 4 enter free. Family tickets cover 2 adults and 2 children. All routes are guided — independent exploration is not permitted.
The Tourist Route is the most popular option by far, covering the mine’s iconic chambers across 3.5 km and three levels. It begins at the Daniłowicz Shaft and includes access to the underground Cracow Saltworks Museum at no additional charge.
| Ticket Category | Foreign Language Tour | Polish Language Tour |
|---|---|---|
| Standard adult | ~156 PLN | ~121 PLN |
| Reduced (children 4–16, students to 26, seniors, disabled) | ~112 PLN | ~99 PLN |
| Children under 4 | Free | Free |
| Family (2 adults + 1 child aged 4–16) | ~321 PLN | ~265 PLN |
| Family (2 adults + 2 children aged 4–16) | ~386–402 PLN | ~320 PLN |
Prices are reviewed periodically. Always verify current rates at the official booking portal bilety.kopalnia.pl before purchasing. These figures reflect 2025 pricing. Foreign-language tours (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and others) are priced higher than Polish-language tours. English tours are the most popular and book out earliest.
Miners’ Route Ticket Prices
The Miners’ Route is priced at the same rate as the Tourist Route but delivers a completely different experience — a physically active, hands-on adventure through lesser-visited tunnels starting at the Regis Shaft. Participants wear overalls, helmets, and headlamps, and complete real mining tasks under the direction of a guide-foreman.
| Ticket Category | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard adult | ~143–156 PLN |
| Reduced (ages 10–16, students to 26, seniors) | ~121 PLN |
| Children under 10 | Not admitted |
The Miners’ Route is available in Polish and English only. Group sizes are smaller (maximum 20 participants). It is not adapted for visitors with disabilities. See our dedicated Miners' Route guide for full details.
Graduation Tower Ticket
The outdoor Graduation Tower adjacent to the mine offers a salt-inhalation wellness experience. Entry is separate from the mine tour — approximately 7 PLN per visit, or 30 PLN for a 5-visit pass valid for 30 days.
Who Qualifies for a Reduced Ticket?
Reduced tickets are available for children aged 4–16, students up to age 26 (with valid student ID), seniors aged 65 and above, and visitors with certified disabilities. Children under 4 enter completely free but must still be registered during booking. Bring the relevant documentation to the mine entrance on the day.
| Category | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Children aged 4–16 | Valid ID or document confirming age |
| Students up to age 26 | Valid student ID card required at entry |
| Seniors (65+) | Valid ID confirming age |

| Children under 4 | Free — must still be registered during booking |
Reduced tickets cannot be claimed retrospectively if you have already purchased a standard ticket.
